Nose surgery (rhinoplasty) can be for functional and/or cosmetic purposes. Functional rhinoplasty is often performed for complex deviated septums, nasal valve collapse, and external deformities leading to nasal obstruction. Cosmetic rhinoplasty focuses on enhancing the appearance of the external nose which results in a more balanced appearance. Common areas of focus are the nasal bridge and nasal tip.
